Kempner, Texas
Kempner is a small community in Lampasas County, at the intersection of U.S. Highway 190 and Ranch Road 2313. It was founded in 1882 and named for Harris Kempner, a banker and philanthropist involved in the railroad business.
Kempner is served by the Lampasas Independent School District. The community has a handful of local restaurants and shops, and sits on the Highway 190 corridor with a straightforward commute to Fort Hood and Copperas Cove.
Buyers looking at Kempner are usually after acreage or a more rural setting than they will find inside Killeen or Harker Heights, while staying within driving distance of post. Lot size, well and septic, and road frontage matter more here than in a subdivision, and we check all of it before you write.
